This month we are grateful for the happy healthy babies in our life! We are focusing on language development and literacy this month. Talking to baby about what is happening and labeling everyday objects will increase their receptive language skills. Pairing simple signs with words will encourage baby to communicate wants and needs.

K-Prep-
This month we will focus on social studies as the children gain awareness of how they relate to their family and community, understand social roles and responsibilities, and recognize and respect similarities and differences in people. During November, we focus on this skill to connect the celebration of Thanksgiving to our roles in families. We will also focus on science as the children explore the characteristics of objects and materials that are living, non-living, man-made, or naturally occurring. We will be studying nocturnal animals, and why it is darker earlier each day. This will help the children connect to what is going on around them.
Family Engagement-
Make a collage of special family events that you have had with your family, such as special days, trips, holidays, etc. Share the collage with your family at special gatherings this month.
