School Reminders
*SNCA WILL BE CLOSED ON 7/4 FOR THE HOLIDAY!
*SUMMER EVENT FORMS WENT OUT TO OUR TODDLER – K-PREP CLASSROOMS! PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO FILL OUT AND RETURN TO YOUR CHILD’S TEACHER SO WE KNOW WHO WILL BE PARTICIPATING. ALL EVENTS CAN BE PAID BY CHECK OR CASH. ICE CREAM TRUCKS/KONA ICE TRUCKS ARE PAID THE DAY OF WITH CASH ONLY.
*WATER PLAY- EACH CLASSROOM HAS A SET SCHEDULE FOR WATER PLAY DAYS. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS A SWIM SUIT, TOWEL, WATER SHOES, AND SWIMMIE DIAPER (IF NECESSARY).
Infants
This month we will focus on social and emotional development as the children work on developing the confidence to complete an action successfully and independently. (ie. Express a range of emotions through facial expressions, gestures, and sound). We will also focus on expressive language as the children begin to use vocalizations, gestures, and facial expressions to communicate needs and wants and to express interest or dislike.
Family Engagement– We are asking for new photos for our crib collages! Please bring five photos showing your family (pets too!).
Special Events– Parents, please bring a white onesie or t-shirt so we can tie-dye together!

Crawlers
This month we will focus on self-help skills as we work on using a spoon with little spilling. We will also focus on physical health and motor development as the children work on developing traveling skills and move from one place to another by walking.
Family Engagement– Please bring in some family photos that we can hang in our classroom!

Young Toddlers
This month we will focus on social and emotional development. The children will work on developing the confidence to complete an action successfully or independently. We will work on cleaning up after playing with the toys and materials. We will also work on developing writing and drawing skills.
Family Engagement– Please take a minute and fill out the “All About Me” paper that was sent home with your child.
Special Events- Ice Cream Truck 7/6, 7/17 $2 each (cash only)
Bouncy House 7/19 $5
Water Play will be Tuesday and Fridays!

Older Toddlers
This month the children will work on social and emotional development. The children will engage in positive interactions with adults who are familiar and consistently present in children’s lives as we adjust and transition to the new teachers in the classroom. We will also focus on cognitive flexibility as the children’s skills increase at adjusting to change in demands, priorities, and perspectives (new classroom rules and schedule).
Family Engagement- Please take a minute to fill out the “All About Me” form and return to your child’s teacher so we can learn more about your child!

Water Play will be on Monday and Wednesdays!

3’s Preschool
This month we will work on Social Studies as we learn a new daily routine and become aware of the rules within their new classroom environment. We will also work to grow our cognitive development skills to be able to communicate things that happened earlier in the day as well as learn the layout of the classroom to know where things are kept so they can be easily retrieved when needed as well as return them to the proper place.
Family Engagement- Families received welcome packets with information about the class as well as an “all about me” sheet. Please fill out and return as soon as possible.
Special Events– Water Play begins the week of July 9th. Please be sure your child has bathing suit, towel, water shoes and sunhat! Please make sure to fill out the summer events form and return by 7/1.

4’s Pre-K
This month our focus will be social and emotional development. We are excited to have so many new friends in our classroom. As the children get acclimated to their new surroundings, they will begin to develop trust in and engage positively with teachers and other children. We will also be working on creating classroom rules and begin to learn about conflict resolution. The children will begin to develop the ability to express and regulate their own emotions.
Family Engagement– This month we will be creating a family photo collage. Having family photos in our classroom will help establish a stronger connection between school and home. Please send in a family photo by Wednesday, July 11th.
Special Events– 7/3 Biomes, 7/6- Ice Cream Truck, 7/11 Mother Nature, 7/17 Kona Ice Truck, 7/19 Bouncy House ,7/23 Fiddle n Fun. Please fill out permission form and return asap. Thank you!
K-Prep
This month we will focus on physical health and motor development. The children will engage in structured and unstructured physical activity. This goal is used to help children increase the amount of play and activity using more muscles and for longer periods of time. We will also focus on self help skills. This goal is used to help children become independent as they learn to help themselves with cleaning up in the classroom after meal time or play time, opening snacks, putting their belongings away, etc. in order to be ready for the challenges and expectations in Kindergarten.
Family Engagement- Get Moving! This month we are encouraging physical activity every day. Go for a walk with your child, run around the yard, play catch, turn on some music and dance! Any type of movement will do, but the idea is to “get moving”!
