A common issue that many parents encounter is having to cater to some picky eaters on holidays. My niece is one of the pickiest eaters I have ever met. I have found that getting her involved in the process can make a world of difference.
Maybe get your little one involved by letting them help to stuff the turkey or smash (as my twins call it) the potatoes. Even if it doesn’t entice them to actually eat what they’re making, it can definitely make some pretty awesome memories.
A non traditional dish that I cook on as many holidays is possible is my grandfather’s meatballs. He taught me when I was four (maybe five). I will forever cherish that he shared that recipe and process with me and plan to pass that legacy along to my children.
Let loose, have fun, drop some flour on the floor or spill some gravy….. they’re only kids once.
