Welcome to the month of April! Welcome to Spring!! We would like to wish you a happy Easter!

Infant Room A and B:
Children will develop trust in and engage positively with adults who are familiar and consistently present in children’s lives. Children will also explore the characteristics of objects and materials that are living, non-living, man-made or naturally occurring.
Family Engagement: We are asking parents to bring in your favorite book for us to read.

Infant Room C:
Children will get into sitting position, sit without support and pull up into standing position. Children will also demonstrate a recognition of themselves in a mirror.
Family Engagement: Color an egg
Classroom Special Events: Spring art.

Crawler Room A and B:
Children will develop small muscle control, strength and coordination by stacking clocks and picking up finger foods using pincer grasp. Children will also show interest and an understanding of a variety of literacy experiences by exploring board books and enjoying story time.
Classroom Special Events: Week of the young child! Monday- Children can bring in a favorite cd to share. Tuesday- We will be trying a variety of healthy foods throughout the day. Wednesday- Children and teachers will work together to build with blocks. Thursday- Creative art with a variety of different mediums. Friday- Make a family fun collage with pictures that are brought in.
Family Engagement: Bring in a photo of your family doing an activity that you enjoy. Please bring in by April 20th so we can make a family collage.
Young Toddlers A Room:
Children will identify familiar melodies and rhythms in music. Children will also identify known people in pictures through finding their picture labeled chairs for snack and lunch.
Classroom Special Events: We will be having an Easter egg hunt on Friday March 30th.
Family Engagement: We will be sending home a crayon with your child. Please have them color or decorate their crayon with their favorite color.
Young Toddlers B Room:
Children will tell about their artistic creations. Children will also use words to express their emotions.

Children will explore cause and effect relationships. Children will also respond to others’ statements, prompts and questions.

Three’s Room:
Children will apply strategies and draw upon past knowledge and experiences to meet goals and solve problems. Children will also explore the characteristics of objects and materials that are living, non-living, man-made or naturally occurring.

Classroom Special Events: Game night April 18th
Pre-K Classroom:
Children will explore the characteristics of objects and materials that are living, non-living, man-made and naturally occurring. We will discuss dinosaur life during prehistoric time. Children will also gain awareness of how they relate to their family and community, understand social roles and responsibilities and respect similarities and differences. We will discuss the importance of earth day.
Family Engagement: The path to recycle.
Classroom Special Events 3/5-3/9 Parents are welcome to come in and read their favorite Dr. Seuss book. 3/16 Wear your green!

K-Prep Classroom:
Children will learn to identify shapes and their attributes, solve problems using shapes and explore the positions of objects of time and place. Children will begin to understand concepts of time and place.
