8 Free Ways to Keep the Summer Fun Going
Running out of super fun ways to keep your kids entertained this summer? It seems like every family outing is costing big $$$$ these days. The Stork’s Nest Child Academy is pleased to share 8 free fun filled summer activities with you and your family! The summer is more than half way over and with these FREE activities we can do this!
Jump aboard the sunken ship
The Hannah in Burnside Park (downtown Providence). Open all year long. Bonus: Attend Kid info Storytime and Art in the Park during July and August.
Play at Dexter Park
located next to the Cranston Armory in Providence.
Play the Rhode Island Farm Scavenger Hunt.
Take a road trip and explore 28 of RI’s 1,200 working farms. Visit www.RIFruitGrowers.org to download the map and clues or pick up a pamphlet at a participating farm.
Go for a ride on the East Bay bike path
From Providence to Bristol. Ice cream stops in Riverside, Warren, and Bristol. Visit http://www.dot.ri.gov/community/bikeri/index.php for a list of bike paths around the state
Fly a kite at Brenton State Park
Along Ocean Drive in Newport. Annual Newport Kite Festival in mid-July.
Go Fishing
at Sabin Point Park in East Providence. Search for sea glass and play on the playground.

Visit the tiny pirate playground in Warren. Followed by ice cream at Imagine.
